Chris Goodwin - Head Coach |
Chris Goodwin completed his first year as the Head Coach of the SMB Wolfpack in 2019. He had previously served 4 years as an assistant coach for the Wolfpack, both as the offensive coordinator, and also as the team’s defensive coordinator.
His coaching background includes stops at many different levels of football, including Division III, Junior College and the Big 10 as a graduate assistant at Minnesota under Glen Mason for 4 years. Chris and his wife Laura live in Edina with their daughters, who are both students at The Blake School. Goodwin holds a Bachelors's and a Masters's degree from the University of Minnesota. Dante Britten - Assistant Head Coach - Running Backs - Strength and Conditioning - Head of Equipment
Dante Britten is entering his 6th year as an assistant coach with the SMB Wolfpack. Dante Britten has been the defensive backs coach and strength and conditioning coach for the Wolfpack the past five seasons. Before Joining the Wolfpack Dante was an assistant coach for Minnehaha Academy and Hope Academy
Dante and his Wife Kari live in NE Minneapolis with their twin daughters Josie and Robbie and their son Desmond. Dante works as a physical education teacher at Minnehaha Academy along with coaching sprints for the Minnehaha Academy track and field program. SMB Wolfpack - Hopkins, Minnesota, 2015-2020.

Peter Zantop - Defensive Coordinator
Coach Peter Zantop is beginning his fourth year as Wolfpack Defensive Coordinator and has been with SMB since the creation of the co-op. During his three seasons as Defensive Coordinator, Coach Zantop’s Wolfpack defenses have finished in the top two in the state of Minnesota in Tackles for Loss and have led the state in total defensive touchdowns.
Peter and his wife Ashley live in Minneapolis with their daughter who is a student at Blake, Alex (2028). “Mr. Z” has taught mathematics in the Blake middle school for the past four years after serving as the Blake Lower School Coordinator from 2011 to 2017. Hugh Brown - Special Teams Coordinator - Associate Head Coach - Defensive Line
Coach Hugh Brown is starting his 6th year as an assistant coach with the Wolfpack. Hugh was the offensive coordinator for 3 seasons for the Wolfpack before switching over to bolster the defensive staff as the Defensive Line Coach, while also co-coordinating special teams in 2018. Prior to the Wolfpack he coached with Minnehaha Academy, Hope Academy and Minneapolis Washburn. Hugh works as a PE/health teacher at Hope Academy in Minneapolis. He and his wife Mary live in north Minneapolis with their 4 children Ruby, Frances, Steel, and Jasper. He is a graduate and former football player for Bethel College of MN. Steve Lydon - Offensive Coordinator |
Coach Steve Lydon is in his 3rd season with the Wolfpack. Coach Lydon was Offensive Line Coach with the Concordia St. Paul Golden Bears for four years in the program's infancy at the Division II and NSIC levels from 2000-03, culminating with the team’s first NSIC Championship in 2003. He again coached at CSP as the Receivers Coach in 2017.
Coach Lydon has made multiple coaching stops in the Twin Cities metro at various levels, heading to the MIAC with St. Olaf in 2004-05 as the offensive line coach. He also coached the wide receivers at Hamline (2006), he coached the wide receivers and was the special teams coordinator at Augsburg (2008-09) and returned to Hamline to work with the wide receivers in 2011. Additionally, Lydon has coached in the prep ranks with Edina High School and St. Bernard's High School. Steve and his wife Jane reside in Edina and have three children: Timothy (25), a teacher in the Twin Cities; Tess (21), a student at Beloit College and Joseph (20), a student at Saint John's University. Lydon holds both Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Minnesota. Coaching Highlights:

Tyler Mundt - Offensive Line - Running Game Coordinator |
Coach Tyler Mundt enters his 6th year with Wolfpack. He has worked with the Offensive Line for the past 3 seasons and will continue the same role this season. Coach Mundt works for Esch Construction Supply as a sales representative. He is a Winona State Graduate with a degree in Marketing and Business Administration.

Scott Scholl - Wide Receivers |
Coach Scott Scholl has been with the Wolfpack since they started and has over 20 years of experience coaching football for Minnehaha Academy before that. Coach Scholl has coached on the offensive side of the ball with the Wolfpack and has experience coaching quarterbacks, wide receivers and running backs. He has also been involved coaching special teams for several years.
Coach Scholl is married to his wife Julia (who is an alumnus of Minnehaha) and has three grown children Jacob, Sarah, and Anna who all also graduated from Minnehaha. Coach Scholl is also a part of the Faculty at Minnehaha teaching in the Math department, and also coaches Girls Basketball and Middle School Track there. |

Coach Scholl played Football and graduated from Minnehaha Academy. He started coaching as a volunteer assistant at Minnehaha Academy after graduating from Bethel University. He has been coaching wide receivers since day 1 of the Wolfpack. He currently works at API National Service Group in New Brighton, MN.

Joe Protzmann - Junior Varsity Offensive Coordinator - JV Co-Head Coach
Coach Protzmann returns for his 5th year with the Wolfpack, this year serving as the Junior Varsity Offensive Coordinator and JV Co-Head Coach.
Coach Protzmann coaches to encourage and empower growth in character, community, and competition. Nate Davis - Inside Linebackers |
Coach Davis returns for his 6th season as an assistant coach for the Wolfpack. He is a teacher at the Blake School. Coach Davis will transition to defense this season, coaching inside linebackers and spearheading the Wolfpack Hawk tackling program. He played his college football at North Dakota State University.

Sam Hinh - Junior Varsity Defensive Coordinator - Co-Head Coach |
Coach Hinh starts his 3rd season as a coach for the Wolfpack and as a computer science teacher at St Paul Academy. He previously coached at St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia in 2018 and played his college football at Carleton College in Northfield through 2016

Trey Muraoka - Defensive Backs
Coach Trey Muraoka is in his 3rd year as an assistant with the SMB Wolfpack. After a season working with the safeties, Trey is transitioning to defensive backs for 2020. He will spearhead our Hawk Tackling program in addition to his DB duties.
Prior to SMB, Coach Muraoka was a defensive backs coach at Macalester College for three seasons (2016-2018), where he also played. Coach Muraoka will begin teaching Latin at the Blake Upper School in the fall of 2020. |
